Worn out
We decided to stay another night at Nana and Poppy's, so we came home this morning...to find that the power was out and would be out for several more hours. (No clue why it stayed off for hours..the weather was rainy and that was about it!)
Thankfully most of Gavin's toys are battery operated, and he could care less about TV- so he was fine. I just wanted to take a nap when he took one, so I didn't even mind the power being off until I woke up at 1 and it was still off and I was starving.
We decided to go to the BX (hoping they had power) and got Subway for lunch, ran into Elizabeth and we caught up on everything that had been going on since I'd been gone. Then I wrangled Gav in the BX and Commissary. He was too grouchy to make it to the milk and cheese (main reason we went in there!) but I'll just pick it up tomorrow when we FINALLY pick up Andrew at the airport. I'm a bit disappointed though, because we'll be missing one of our last church services.
I still can't believe that everything will be packed up this time next week. My poor house will be empty (or full of boxes- I still don't think the movers can pack and pick up in the same day- but more power to them if they think they can!).
I'm thinking I'll have to do a montage farewell to the house...It was our first house together, and its got a million memories. I'll recap the rest of the Nana visit later- I'm halfway through cleaning out the pantry and refrigerator and since I'm on a roll- I want to get it done tonight!
