Show us what book is on your night stand.

and this...
and this also...
(I'm a multi-tasker when it comes to reading...)
And a comment on Death's Acre...I know that sounds like the most morbid (disgusting) book ever, but I'm a big CSI fan, and really liked the book (its about the Body Farm where forensic scientists study human remains as they decay..and all about Dr. Bass's career in forensics). Yes, it is eerie and the descriptions do turn my stomach but it was one of the best non-fiction books I've read in awhile...Andrew is still making fun of me for reading it, asking if there's something he needs to know about...ha ha ha.
Show us the last book you read.
ETA: So last night...it got really interesting and now I LOVE the book. Good thing I've already bought the second one to read!
Show us your favorite coffee mug.
We bought these on our honeymoon to England in a National Trust shop in Avebury. Probably one of my favorite souvenirs, except for the magnets we got at the British Museum (and the packers broke when we moved from Texas), actually I don't know who I'm kidding, I love all our souvenirs...we brought home an entire suitcase of them because we like England that much.
Show us a better way to spend $300 than on the iPhone 3G.
We got Wallace for $300, and I think he's a much better deal than any phone.
He's also wireless....completely independent of all power sources, no lengthy recharging here- well, except for food and petting, he requires daily recharges of those.
He's fast (the I phone says it's 2x as fast previous models)...well, 2x as fast compared to a whippet? I don't think so.
So the I phone has an Ipod built in...Wally makes his own music, "Awwwwoooo"- no silly 99 cent song downloads here...it's free and ready to go at any time.
He responds to touch too...Just scratch his neck, he'll be your best friend forever.
I'll take a whippet buddy any day over a cell phone :)
Show us something cold.
Especially first thing in the morning. What a rude awakening. Wally noozling me to get up so he can go outside. He
sticks his cold nose under the covers and then snorts around trying to get me out of bed as fast as possible :) Gromit is not an early riser and wouldn't dream of waking you up in the morning, he's more of a night owl and thus noozles you out of bed at 2 am or so, or whenever he decides he's too cold and needs to burrow under the covers with you. It was an especially rude awakening last night, when Wallace decided he was cold, so he tried to burrow under the covers more, but ended up burrowing up my pajama pants leg in his frenzy...
